Citrics
The orange, cultivated since ancient times, is a hybrid, possibly between the grapefruit (Citrus maxima) and the mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata). The orange tree is a flowering, evergreen tree that typically reaches nine to ten meters in height (although very old specimens have reached fifteen meters). The leaves are arranged alternately, are oval with crenulated margins, and measure between four and ten centimeters. The fruit of the orange tree is a hesperidium, a type of berry.
