Pear

This fruit belongs to the family Rosaceae, that contains more than 2,000 species of herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees distributed in temperate regions worldwide.

Major European fruit belonging to this family are: apple, loquat, quince, plums, strawberries, blackberries, etc.. Its shape depends on the variety concerned and oscillates between an apple and a tear, and its flavor, texture and color, which ranging from yellow to green to red and brown.

Small to medium quality. With a pear shape sometimes ovoidal. Green, smooth and thin epidermis.Turns to pale green or gray when ripe.Slightly red coat in fruits exposed to the sun. White smooth pulp, a little granulated in the centre, juicy when ripe.
